About us

JFL Consulting is a boutique consultancy based in Moscow, member of the Association of European Businesses and a certified Hogan Assessments.

Executive Search & Recruitment is our core business: we work on mid-management and C-level mandates for international companies and leading Russian players. Around it we have built a wider HR consultancy practice (leadership and high-potential assessment, interviewing and hiring training for management teams, and outplacement) which allows us to accompany our clients well beyond a single hire.

After having built a stable and performant business and a solid reputation, we are looking for someone to bring the company to a new dimension by opening new doors.

The role

You own the development of our client portfolio. Not one channel, but the whole approach: how we choose our targets, how we reach them, and how we turn a first conversation into a long-term client relationship.

Building the target picture

• Map your markets: which companies are worth approaching, who decides, and what is happening inside them right now
• Track the trigger events that create hiring needs: new shareholders, new leadership, expansion, site openings, restructuring
• Build and maintain a live pipeline of prospects in our CRM, so nothing is lost and nothing is contacted twice

Reaching decision makers

• Direct approach to HR Directors, Heads of Talent Acquisition, General Managers and owners
• LinkedIn and professional networks; positioning yourself as someone worth talking to
• Industry events, business associations and professional communities, including associations networks
• Referrals: from our clients, from the candidates we have placed, and from your own network
• Reactivation of dormant accounts

Winning the client

• Run the first meeting: understand their organisation, their hiring pains and how they buy
• Present our methodology and defend our positioning against agencies competing on price
• Negotiate terms and close the agreement
• Hand over a properly briefed mandate to the consultant who will deliver it

Growing what you have built

• Stay the client's main contact: quarterly reviews, market feedback, anticipating their next need
• Identify opportunities for our assessment, training and outplacement services within your accounts
• Feed our market intelligence back into the team (salary levels, competitor moves, who is hiring…)

You will not be running the searches. Delivery is carried by the team, so your time stays where it creates value: with clients.

What matters to us

• 3+ years in active B2B service sales, ideally within recruitment, consulting or professional services
• Able to hold a conversation with senior management as an equal, and to talk business before talking HR
• Comfortable opening doors from a standing start, without a warm list handed to you
• Structured: you work a market methodically rather than following whoever answers first
• English is an advantage
